SKV Vidhyaashram is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) whose primary focus is:
For grade I to X we follow the curriculum and syllabus prescribed by CBSE which is based on the National Curriculum Framework with the core rationale:
“Education, as a planned endeavour, at a personal level on a small scale or institutional level on a large scale, aims at making children capable of becoming active, responsible, productive, and caring members of society. They are made familiar with the various practices of the community by imparting the relevant skills and ideas. Ideally, education is supposed to encourage the students to analyse and evaluate their experiences, to doubt, to question, to investigate-in other words, to be inquisitive and to think independently.”
CBSE also mandates that students be evaluated on the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system up to class X. Students are assessed on a five point grading scale with no pass/fail up to class V and on a seven point grading scale for classes VI-VIII. CCE for classes IX & X comprises three parts based on formative and summative assessment, co-scholastic assessment and activity participation based assessment.
